Half Moon Bay Wasabi attended the unveiling of the San Francisco Peninsula Magazine's second edition at Oceano Hotel + Spa. From rugged coastlines and redwood trails to Michelin starred kitchens and thriving farmers markets, each magazine issue brings the Peninsula to life through stories, people, and experiences worth discovering.
Inside this edition, you’ll find local voices, coastal escapes, unforgettable meals, historic downtowns, the best ways to get around, and the people shaping everyday life across the region.
There's a digital edition of the full magazine available here. You can also request a physical copy of the magazine from the same webpage.
As noted in the article, you can sample Half Moon Bay Wasabi at several restaurants along the peninsula. The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, is one of our oldest partners, and currently uses our real wasabi in of their cocktail concoctions. In Mountain View, check out the excellent Sushi Katsu which offers an authentic Japanese Edomae-style Omakase experience for every guest. And in Menlo Park, don't miss the dining experience at Robin, providing a "thoughtfully personalized omakase experience using the most pristine ingredients available from the markets each day."

Pillar Point Harbor also received a nice shoutout in this edition. Every year, we celebrate the opening of Dungeness crab season with a crab boil at the beach with a fresh catch from the harbor. The harbor "anchors the Peninsula’s fishing industry, with more than 50 commercial and sport fishing boats operating from this sheltered harbor. Depending on the season, home cooks can purchase king salmon, black cod, Dungeness crab, halibut, and more straight from the source. To catch your own fish, charter a boat or cast a line from the public jetty.
Half Moon Bay Wasabi periodically pops up at Pillar Point and sells authentic wasabi direct to customers, many of whom have just purchased seafood from boats in the harbor. We'll be there for the opening of salmon season, Dungeness season, and the annual Lighted Boat Festival.
