"Super Roll Champ" at Levi's Stadium

Half Moon Bay Wasabi Heats Up Super Bowl LV

Farm to Stadium

We are thrilled to announce that Half Moon Bay Wasabi made it to Super Bowl LV! The chefs at Levi’s Stadium served it with their “Super Roll Champ” sushi roll in all 40 ownership suites and at a concession stand. We love partnering with local restaurants and delivering real wasabi to our first stadium event is quite the thrill.

Super Bowl LV is the biggest stage in American sports, where legends are made, and every detail matters. To have authentic wasabi—the real deal, not the green-dyed imposter—called up to the starting lineup is a dream come true.

"Super Roll Champ" and freshly grated wasabi

And the sushi roll itself? Absolute MVP material.

The "Super Roll Champ" combines Alaskan king crab with cucumber, seasoned rice, and freshly grated Half Moon Bay wasabi. Then it’s topped with A5 wagyu, Tsar Nicoulai black osetra caviar, shaved truffle, and gold flake. It’s a stacked roster if we’ve ever seen one. Every ingredient brings elite talent, and our wasabi delivers a clean, fast heat that sushi fans will remember.

Real wasabi is never about overpowering the dish. When freshly grated, it adds a bright, aromatic kick that elevates everything around it. Paired with king crab, wagyu, and caviar, it doesn’t steal the spotlight; it makes the whole team better.

At Half Moon Bay Wasabi, we’ve always believed in playing the long game. Growing real wasabi takes time (almost two years), patience, precision, and more than a few audibles along the way. For us, this Super Bowl moment wasn’t just a flash-in-the-pan moment; it was the payoff after years of disciplined practice. Every rhizome we grow is coached to perform at the highest level. Seeing that effort shine on the biggest culinary field of the year felt like winning it all.

So here’s to bold flavors, big games, and sushi rolls that go all the way. At Half Moon Bay Wasabi, we’re proud to say: real wasabi showed up on Super Bowl Sunday, and it played like a champion.
